Michelle Acutt

Middle Park State School

Praised for her “fantastic array” of supportive behaviour strategies and techniques, Michelle Acutt is known for her caring manner and providing an engaging learning environment for students.

The Year 2 teacher uses student data to plan and deliver targeted learning experiences that are exciting and meaningful.

She is also conscious of involving parents in the daily achievements of their children and works closely with families.

Michelle has been using the David Rose and the Read to Learn pedagogy to respond to children’s individual needs.

After two years of teaching, she is providing planning, teaching and assessment support to other beginning teachers and is a highly valued member of the school’s Year 2 team.

Middle Park State School Principal Anne Kitchin said Michelle had been “a very welcome addition” to their staff.

“Her teaching is child focussed and she has worked very hard with curriculum and learning frameworks,” Anne says.

Congratulations Michelle on your nomination.
