The Cathedral College
Nathan Ramm is seen as a leader and role model in his school to staff and students alike.
The Cathedral College Maths, Business, and Digital Technologies teacher has led a school-wide rollout of a new coding program that equips students with the digital literacy they will need going into a 21st century workforce.
As a result of his progressive teaching approach, Nathan’s students have a renewed sense of engagement with the curriculum and his colleagues are inspired to look for new and exciting teaching strategies to introduce into their own classrooms.
“Nathan has high expectations for students to achieve their best and delivers an engaging curriculum in order to motivate his students,” Assistant Principal Brenda Mallory said.
“He fosters a collaborative environment and encourages staff to learn from each other,” she said.
Nathan is committed to sharing his knowledge and successes with his colleagues, and he regularly offers presentations on the use of ICT teaching strategies at professional development sessions for all who are interested.
In his role as the Academic Dean of Business and Information Technology, he helps his teaching colleagues set clear goals and establish effective strategies to ensure that all classes across his department are operating effectively.
Congratulations Nathan on your nomination.
